Chima Aka and goalkeeper, Femi Thomas, have been allowed to leave the Super Eagles camp in Abuja, to play in Enyimba’s CAF Champions League first round return leg match against Vital’O of Burundi this weekend.
“Akas and Femi Thomas have been released to Enyimba for their Champions League return leg match in Burundi,” the team media officer, Toyin Ibitoye, stated.
Enyimba hammered Vital’O 5-1 on Sunday and will be hoping to progress to the next round.
The overall winner will take on the overall winner between Morocco’s Olympique Khourigba and Etoile du Sahel from Tunisia, for a place in the money-spinning group stage.
Etoile held Khourigba to a 1-1 draw in the first leg in Morocco.
