Super Eagles hold first training session ahead of Senegal, Burkina Faso friendlies

The Super Eagles have held their first training session at the Hive Stadium London ahead of the team’s two international friendly games against Senegal and Burkina Faso scheduled to hold on Thursday and Monday respectively. The training session which commenced by 11:00 am (Nigerian Time), had Alex Iwobi, Isaac Success, Ogenyi Onazi, Chidozie Awaziem, Carl Ikeme, John Ogu, Shehu Abdullahi, Iheanacho, new boy Noah Sarenren Bazee, and other UK-based players.

After the training, the team was told to converge by 2:00 pm (Nigerian time) at Crown Plaza Hotel, London for lunch.

The players were also informed of a compulsory squad meeting scheduled to hold four hours after lunch break.

Meanwhile, the Super Eagles Team Coordinator, Patrick Pascal, told the media in Nigeria that Daniel Akpeyi and Ikechukwu Ezenwa have both received their entry visas into the United Kingdom and are expected to join the team ahead of the two international friendly games.

He also noted that some backroom staff who are yet to join up with the squad will know if they will still make the trip to London for the games on Wednesday.

“We applied for visas, which should take 10 days, it will elapse on Wednesday.

“Once we get our visas on Wednesday, we will travel the same day.”

It could be recalled that the team’s camp opened ahead of the international friendlies on Monday.
