Super Eagles defender, Oboabona urges Nigerians to pray for goalkeeper, Carl Ikeme

Super Eagles defender, Godfrey Oboabona has urged all soccer loving Nigerians and beyond to offer prayers for the goal keeper, Carl Ikeme.

Ikeme is currently hospitalized as he continues to receive treatment after being diagnosed with leukemia.

Oboabona, who was a key member of the Super Eagles team that won the African Cup of Nations in South Africa in 2013 said “with God” all things are possible.

“This is the time for all us to be united in praying for the quick recovery of Carl, this is the time for us to raise our voice to heaven and seek divine.

“We must try as much as possible to always remember Carl in our daily prayers and it is my believe that he will come out stronger.”

Oboabona, who was also the captain of Sunshine Stars when the Akure-based team had its best moments, thanked soccer fans worldwide for the love and support already expressed towards Carl Ikeme.
