The Super Eagles of Nigeria are now 42nd in the world, according to the FIFA rankings published on the federation’s official website on Thursday.
It means Gernot Rohr’s men have risen four places from last month.
In the last month, the Eagles have played two competitive games and won both. Nigeria rounded off their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying series, with a 3-1 win over Seychelles, before beating Egypt 1-0 three days later in an international friendly.
The Eagles are now ranked third in Africa, only below Senegal and Tunisia.
The top five in the world are: Belgium, France, Brazil, England and Croatia.
