Sunshine Stars captain, Abe Sunday, has insisted that his team will end their trophy drought this season, by winning either the Nigeria Professional Football League or Federation Cup.
The Owena Waves are currently 14th in the NPFL and play table toppers Enugu Rangers on Wednesday.
Abe says their decent away form will ensure they finish the campaign with silverware.
“We got a good result against Plateau United because we played the game of our lives and if we continue this way, we will win a trophy and that is the target,” Sunday told Goal.
“Though we had a shaky start, I am sure we’ll achieve something important this time around having missed out narrowly last season.
“If we just keep on doing our best, the results will definitely come and I know our players are good enough to lift a trophy without any extra additions.
“Each game keeps getting tougher but we are up to the task.”
