Captain of Sunshine Stars, Sunday Abe, has been suspended for six games in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
He is being punished for his conduct in last weekend’s match at Shooting Stars.
Abe was charged by the league body, “for headbutting and kicking” the match referee, Peter Ogabor, after he awarded a penalty to 3SC in the heated game.
“Sunshine Stars player, Sunday Abe, is banned for six matches for headbutting and kicking the ref during the Glo Premier League game at Shooting Stars,” the LMC announced via its Twitter account.
