Kinsmen of former Governor Sullivan Chime of Enugu state, under the umbrella of Umuneke Udi leaders of Thought and Stakeholders, have‎ slammed him for alleged non-performance while in office.

The group made this assertion after its meeting at Eke Udi square, the amalgamation of communities in Udi south‎ state constituency.

It also thanked the current administration of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for returning the lost glory of the state.

In a communiqué after the meeting signed by Chief Sam Aneke and Emeka Aneke, the stakeholders also washed their hands off any case the former governor is facing at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Aneke said “This is Eke Udi square and you can smell the aura ‎of development here, if there was one in those eight years of Sullivan Chime. We had our hopes and expectations dashed.

“We now look forward to the government of the day. Ugwuanyi has given us hope of inclusive government after 8 years of wasted development.”

Another stakeholder and former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Garry Eneh said: “We express support to Governor Ugwuanyi because he has done well within the past two years.

“We also express support to the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu who has empowered our people and also to Hon. Dennis Amadi of the House of Representatives.

“Unfortunately, we lost out under Sullivan Chime. It’s a shame that we don’t have any bank in the communities of Umuneke Udi. He spent 8 years in PDP and he never knew his ward chairman.

“What is he going to do in APC? If he had done well, we would have followed him. Ugwuanyi has given him all the respect and should not bother wherever Chime is headed to.”
