DAILY POST has just learnt of a bomb explosion at a mosque in Yola which rocked the area as worshipers were about to observe Jumat prayers, collapsing the building of the worship centre located in the Jimeta area of the Adamawa state capital.
Claiming that the incident was carried out by a Boko Haram suicide bomber on Friday afternoon, a resident disclosed that “We believe that the suicide bomber join the faithful as if to worship before detonating the bomb.
“I can assure that due to the number of Muslims who worship in the mosque during Jumat and the collapse of the mosque by the impact of the bomb, the casualty is not likely to be below 30,” said a resident who gave his name as Murtala
Efforts by our correspondent to get official confirmation proved abortive as at press time.
