Barcelona striker, Luis Suarez, has said that Real Madrid are far above any one player and that Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure won’t be as bad as some think.
Ronaldo left Madrid this summer after spending nine seasons at the club.
While at Los Blancos, the 33-year-old scored 451 goals in 438 appearances and won two La Liga titles and four Champions League trophies.
However, Suarez believes his exit will allow other players grow into themselves.
“It’s Madrid and it’s above the individual,” he told RAC1 via Mundo Deportivo.
“They have many players of good quality, at a great level and a new coach. A new coach always generates ambitions.
“Both Madrid, as well as Barça, are above. In the Supercopa and the first league games were at a good level, some [players] who were a bit self-conscious now have more prominence.”
