Officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, were yesterday called upon to be neutral and nonpartisan while discharging their constitutional duty in tomorrow’s elections.

Commandant General of the Corps, Dr. Ade Abolurin gave the call in Abuja during the deployment of officers of the Corps for Saturday’s polls.

Abolurin noted that the Corps will not tolerate any activity from its officers that could taint the body as been partisan come Saturday.

“As stakeholders in the Nigeria’s electoral process, the Corps is expected to re-double its effort and work hard to ensure a free and fair election,” Abolurin said.

The NSCDC boss also used the opportunity to warn officers of the Corps not to involve themselves in any electoral offence, noting that anyone found will be made to face the full wrath of the law.
