Standing Committees are graded for convenience, not for superiority – Reps

Following the bad blood generated by the recent appointment of Chairmen of House of Representatives’ Standing Committees, the House leadership has stated that the grading of Committees was for mere administrative convenience and not for superiority.

This was as it clarified that all committees of the Green Chamber had oversight roles to play in different areas of law making.

Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Media, Hon. Jonathan Gaza, made the disclosure on Thursday during the weekly interactive session with members of the House of Reps Press Corps. .
