Tottenham and Andre Villas-Boas, have taken significant steps in the transfer market to replace Real Madrid-bound Winger Gareth Bale, as they are close to sealing moves for attacking midfielders Willian and Erik Lamela.
Roberto Soldado, Nacer Chadli, Etienne Capoue and Paulinho have already arrived at White Hart Lane for a combined £57.6m, but it appears Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, is ready to splash the £80m-plus they will get for Bale on new players.
Willian has already arrived in London for talks and possibly a medical, in a deal worth around £30m, while Lamela’s agent and father will meet with Roma’s director of football, Walter Sabatini, today to discuss the move.
