Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore has reacted to the postponement of Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Addressing a press conference on Saturday in Abuja, INEC, Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu said the presidential election was shifted to February 23, while the governorship was rescheduled for March 9.

Reacting, Sowore described the shift as a postponement of the Federal Government’s judgement day by one week.

In a tweet on Saturday, the presidential candidate wrote: “New date for Nigeria’s Presidential Election is NOW February 23rd 2019… Postponing their day of judgement by one week.”
