The labour leaders declared that but for Lagos State, workers in Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo and Ekiti states were in urgent need for solution to the non-payment of their emoluments.

The Congress’ leadership, who were led by the South West Coordinator, Comrade Olubunmi Fajobi, arrived at Obasanjo’s Hilltop mansion in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital around 12: 30pm, and quickly went into a closed-door meeting with the former President.

Addressing newsmen after the meeting which lasted close to an hour, Fajobi disclosed that the labour leaders had decided to seek the assistance of the former president over the matter owing to their conviction that Obasanjo commands great respect among the governors.
