South West will benefit if Jonathan is re-elected – Isiaka, Ogun PDP candidate

The Ogun State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, has called on electorates in the Southwest region of the country to come out en mass and vote president Goodluck Jonathan in the Saturday’s presidential poll.

He made this appeal in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital on Tuesday.

Isiaka said the people of the South-West would benefit more if the president was allowed to continue with his transformation agenda and see to the implementation of the confab report.

He said, “The best way is to continue with the transformation agenda of the President and the change we all desire as Yorubas are part of the reports of the confab. Yes, we desire true federalism, new revenue sharing formula, fiscal federalism, state creation and stability of our economy, hundreds of Nigerians including our delegates to the Confab have discussed and agreed on all these issues.

“The only thing is to allow the president to start the implementation and I believe that the South-West will benefit more from it,” he said.

The guber candidate further noted that the economy of the country had been developing rapidly and “changing the driver of the economy will reverse many gains the country has witnessed in the last four years.”

He warned the electorate to ignore deceit being peddled around by the opposition, saying “those people seeking for a change and blackmailing the president should be critically tasked about their antecedents, what did they do when they had the opportunity to be in power and what is the agenda of those backing them to get power by all means.” .
