The South West zone of the Conference of Nigeria Political Party, CNPP, Thursday, endorsed the reelection of President Goodluck Jonathan in the March 28 presidential election.
Disclosing this to journalists in Lagos, the Executive Secretary of CNPP in the South West, Rev. Austin Nnorom, said the CNPP arrived at the decision based on a careful assessment of all the presidential candidates.
“We took time to assess all the presidential candidates of various parties including that of APC and discovered that President Jonathan remains the best of them,” he said.
According to Nnorom, the CNPP believed that President Jonathan has done well and that the country will witness more development if given another mandate for a second term in office, adding that the Jonathan’s administration has repaired more roads in the country than any administration that existed before it.
“Those of us from the South-East of the country can witness how some of the roads in the area have been reconstructed by this government.”
