An Ikeja High Court sitting in Lagos has dismissed a robbery charge brought against six persons following the inability of the prosecutor to provide witness.

The six persons were identified as, Ismaila Bankole, 34; Akeem Ganiu, 30; Abass Ayanniyi, 31; Lukman Jimoh, 33; Lateef Amodu, 28, and Oluwaseun Soneye, 25.

DAILY POST gathered that the six were arraigned by the Lagos State Government on a two count charge of robbery and possession of firearms without license which they pleaded not guilty to.

The presiding Judge, Justice K. A. Jose had on March 25, warned that the case will be struck out if witness was not produced.

At the resumed hearing, the prosecutor, Mrs Abiola Ajayi, told the judge that she was unable to bring the witness to court.

The Judge subsequently dismissed the charge levelled against the six persons while urging them to quit the world of crime.
