It started as a rumour, but eventually, phone calls and text messages were exchanged and Goldie Harvey has been confirmed dead.
The 28-year-old singer and former Big Brother housemate, just arrived the country from the US, where she was a guest at the just concluded Grammy Awards. She is reported to have slumped and was then rushed to Reddington hospital in Victoria Island, Lagos, where she passed on
Her best friend, Denrele Edun, who had been scheduled to kick off a reality show with her, confirmed the news and has since switched off his mobile phone, as he cannot deal with the barrage of calls anymore.
UPDATE: Here management have confirmed her death via her Facebook page. They wrote: “It is with heavy heart that I have to inform you all that Goldie passed this night shortly aafter arriving Lagos from LA. May her soul rest in the eternal peace of the Lord – Admin!!”
