The proposed 60-man squad drawn up by head coach of Nigeria’s U-23 team, Samson Siasia, will be reduced to 50.

According to reports, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is considering the cost implications of putting 60 players in camp ahead of the Olympics in August.

“Having pulled out of the Toulon Tournament in France will cost the Federation about 80,000 euros. Siasia has been mandated to draw up a list of 50 players and not 60 anymore,” a source revealed to Completesportsnigeria.com.

“The only pre-tournamnet game for the team will be the South Korea Invitational Tournament coming up early June.”

Siasia is expected to release the names of foreign-based professionals expected to join his squad, in the coming weeks.
