The Nigeria Police have confirmed they have rescued Samson Siasia’s mother, Mrs Ogere Siasia, from her abductors.
Public Relations Officer of the Bayelsa State Command of the Nigerian Police, ASP Butswat Asinim, broke the news to footballlive.ng.
Siasia’s mother was kidnapped about two weeks ago in Bayelsa and reportedly taken to the creeks. Her abductors demanded for N100million as ransom, but eventually reduced the amount to N3million.
At the time of filing this report, DAILY POST cannot confirm if any money was paid for the release of the aged woman.
But Siasia, who is in Senegal with the Dream Team VI, has also confirmed her release to Brila FM.
“Thank God! she’s back home,” he said.
