Head coach of Nigeria’s U-23 team, Samson Siasia, handed out $100 to each player of the squad, after they qualified for the semi-final of the Africa U-23 Nations Cup.
The former Super Eagles handler, had promised the players the amount, before they took on Algeria in their last group game on Saturday.
Although the match ended in a 0-0 draw, both Nigeria and Algeria made it into the last four.
Siasia’s boys will now take on hosts Senegal, for a place in the final on Wednesday.
The winner of the tie, will automatically qualify for next year’s Olympic Games in Rio.
