Coach of Nigeria’s Olympic football team, Samson Siasia, has flown out of the country ahead of Thursday’s Olympics draw in Rio de Janeiro.
African champions, the Dream Team VI, are in Pot 2.
Nigeria won a historic soccer gold in the 1996 edition and were beaten in the final at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Siasia has already named a 30-man squad from the domestic league ahead of the competition, to begin training in Abuja.
He is expected to confirm a list of foreign-based players, after the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), speaks with the various clubs.
