Siasia counts on Mikel Obi, Moses against Egypt

Interim coach of the Super Eagles, Samson Siasia, has said that he will be banking on the experience of Chelsea’s John Mikel Obi and Victor Moses of West Ham, to get a win against Egypt in their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Kaduna.

Siasia, who was speaking to Complete Sports, also expressed his delight with how the two England-based players were faring.

“I am really impressed with Mikel’s attitude towards this important game; he has called in to confirm his readiness for the clash,” he said.

“Victor Moses has pledged to return too and this is quite encouraging at a time we need our top players against Egypt.

“Egypt will be coming with their best players and I strongly feel Mikel and Moses’ wealth of experience will come in handy if we are to pick three points against Egypt in Kaduna.

“These two guys are highly experienced and are in top shape right now. I believe they will play a major role if we are to beat Egypt.

“All we need to do is work hard and pray that no injury stops our players now.”
