Shrine’s saga: Ondo Assembly suspends lawmaker

Sequel to the revelation of how a member of the Ondo State House assembly, Hon. Folashade Olasehinde a.k.a “Yeye Oge” allegedly operate a shrine in her former house by her ex-landlord, the lawmaker was today suspended by the state Assembly.

Additionally, the State Assembly has also constituted a committee headed by Hon. Fatai Olotu to look into the allegation.

It could be recalled that DailyPost, on Monday published a report on how the Legislator who is representing Ose Constituency allegedly locked up her former Duplex home at Ijapo Estate in Akure, the State Capital, despite that her house rent had expired.

This prompted the Landlord, Pa. Ogunbadejo to use a legal means in opening the apartment where several fetish objects such as small coffins, Cow horns, Concoction among others were found in the house.

Though, Olasehinde when interviewed, had denied the allegation, saying that she had earlier moved all her property from the Duplex to her new apartment at Government’s quarters in Alagbaka Akure.

However, at the session chaired by the Assembly’s Speaker, Rt. Hon. Samuel Adesina said the report had brought a lot of embarrassment to the image of the Assembly.

“We are going to look into this matter, but Hon. Olasehinde will be going on suspension, and the Assembly will set up a committee to look into the allegation. Until then, the affected Lawmaker will be under suspension” the Speaker’s said.
