The Senator representing Kaduna Central at the National Assembly, Shehu Sani, has described as mere propaganda the claim by the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola that Nigeria’s current power generation has reached 7000 Mega Watts.
The lawmaker said, however, that the fact that the present administration has made progress in constructing the Second Niger Bridge and dredging of the River Niger, it should be appreciated.
According to the lawmaker, previous administrations failed to carry out these projects even after allocating huge resources to them.
“We need to appreciate the fact that there is progress made on the River Niger; mythical, phantasmagoric and ghost River Niger bridges under the past governments are now replaced by real one under the Present Federal Government.
“However, on power its simply megawatts of propaganda and grid of exaggeration.”
