Shehu Sani, the Senator representing Kaduna Central has reacted to the Presidency’s warning against foreign interference in the affairs of the country.
Buhari had in a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, on Saturday, warned against foreign interference into the nation’s affairs, capable of creating apprehension, distrust among citizens or undermining the transparency and acceptability of the outcomes of the nation’s electoral process.
Sani, reacting countered Buhari’s statement.
The Kaduna lawmaker wrote: “The EU,US and the UK that we are warning to stop ‘interfering in our internal affairs’ are the same people we are depending on to help us combat and neutralize insurgency and address humanitarian issues in our country; Are insurgency and IDPs not our internal affairs?
Meanwhile, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar had on Tuesday released an open letter he wrote to the Ambassadors of France, Germany, EU, US and UK High Commissioner.
In the letter, Atiku listed what he described as constitutional beaches by President Buhari.
