Sevilla retain Europa League trophy

Carlos Bacca scored two goals, as Sevilla came from a goal down to defeat Dnipro 3-2 and successfully defend their Europa League crown.

Nikola Kalinic put the Ukrainians one goal up, before Grzegorz Krychowiak and Bacca responded with two quick goals for the Spanish team.

Ruslan Rotan levelled the scores with a clever free-kick before half time, but Bacca sealed a record fourth Europa League title for his side with the winner.

Sevilla are the first side in UEFA Cup/Europa League history to retain the trophy twice (2005/2006 & 2006/2007, 2013/20114 & 2014/2015).

The win for Unai Emery’s men, also means Spain will have five representatives in next season’s UEFA Champions League.

Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Valencia already confirmed their places after La Liga ended last weekend.
