The Nigeria Navy, Saturday, disclosed that it has arrested seven suspected oil thieves in Delta State.
Disclosing this in a statement by its Director of Information, Commodore Christian Ezekobe, the Navy said the suspects were apprehended on September 7, 2016 at Sara Creek, in the State.
According to Ezekobe, the patrol team destroyed three Cotonou boats laden with an unquantified stolen crude oil.
The team also recovered “one speed boat, a Cotonou boat carrying 15×10,000 liters and 2 x 5000 liters GP tanks laden with suspected illegally refined Automotive Gas oil” from the suspected oil thieves.
