Seven killed as Boko Haram bombs Borno village


Boko Haram leader, Shekau fails to attend TIME 100 Gala

Gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram members, Monday, bombed Alagarino village, Borno State, killing no fewer than seven people.

It was gathered that the insurgents planted explosives along the Damboa-Biu roads.

When the device detonated, at least three soldiers, one mobile police officer and three other people were killed.

A security source told newsmen that three soldiers survived the deadly attack.

He said, “It was a horrible accident. The vehicle was damaged beyond recognition. However, three soldiers survived it but they were seriously injured.”

DAILY POST recalls that President Buhari had directed the relocation of military command center from Abuja to Maiduguri and ordered the release of $21million for the needs of the Multinational Joint Task Force.
