Serie A: Bonucci blames Kean for racist chants in Juventus’ 2-0 win over Cagliari

Juventus defender, Leonardo Bonucci has blamed his teammate, Moise Kean for racist chants reportedly targeted at him during Juventus’ 2-0 win over Cagliari in the Serie A on Tuesday.

Goals from Leonardo Bonucci and Moise Kean ensured Max Allegri’s men defeated the host in front of their home fans.

Kean was abused by Cagliari fans after scoring a late second half.

The Italy international’s goal celebrations were marred by a section of home fans with monkey noises but Bonucci believes the racist chants directed at the 19-year-old was a “50-50” blame, adding that Kean should not have provoked the home supporters.

“Kean knows that when he scores a goal, he should celebrate that with his teammates. He knows he could have done something differently too,” Bonucci told Sky Sport Italia.

“There were racist jeers after the goal, Blaise heard it and was angered. I think the blame is 50-50, because Moise shouldn’t have done that and the Curva (Cagliari fans) should not have reacted that way.”
