Sergio Ramos set to leave Real Madrid after clashing with Perez

Real Madrid captain, Sergio Ramos, is considering leaving the club this summer, Marca reports.

It is understood that Ramos is ready to call time on his Bernabeu career after 14 years in the Spanish capital, after clashing with club president Florentino Perez.

Madrid endured a dismal campaign, which culminated in the Champions League capitulation against Ajax.

The Dutch side’s 4-1 win at the Bernabeu handed them a 6-3 aggregate win in the last 16, with Ramos missing due to suspension, having purposely picked up a yellow card in the first leg, which Madrid won 2-1.

Ramos admitted after Madrid had been dumped out of the competition that it was “an error and I take the blame 200 per cent.”

As Ajax players celebrated with supporters on the Bernabeu pitch, Ramos who had watched from the stands while being filmed for a documentary, joined his dejected teammates in the dressing room.

They were joined by Perez, who labelled the players “disgraceful” and became embroiled in a heated row with his skipper.

Ramos allegedly fired back at the Madrid president, accusing Perez of their current problems being his fault, declaring that his planning for the campaign hadn’t been up to standard and stating “Pay me up and I’ll go”.
