Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, SERAP, has commended Senate President Bukola Saraki, over the passage of Nigeria Police Trust Fund Bill.

Saraki, speaking on Tuesday after the passage of the bill, said the bill which was also passed by the House of Representatives, will provide the funding needed for training and recruitment.
Speaking on the development, SERAP in a post on its Twitter page commended Saraki for the passage of the bill.
SERAP described the development as a major achievement of Saraki’s tenure.
The group, however, cited other bills that could become Saraki’s major legacy
The tweet read: “Dear Bukola Saraki, the passage of Police trust fund bill is a major achievement.
“Perhaps your biggest legacy at 8th NASS could be taking urgent steps to:
*end N14m monthly pay to Dariye in prison
*end N14m monthly allowance per senator
*end double pay to senators
