The Senator representing Ondo North under the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, Senator Ajayi Boroffice, has denied any division in the state’s party.

In a press release in Akure, Boroffice who described the news as false, stated that on the contrary, the state chapter of the party was strong and united.

The Senator was reacting to a report quoting him as insinuating that there was a tussle amongst the leaders of the party in the state.

The statement said that in line with the thinking of the national leaders of the party, he was working with all the leaders of the party and other progressive-minded forces to bring about good governance.

According to him, “Never have I granted any press interview that gives credence to any rift or the insinuation that I have taken over the control of the party in Ondo State.”

Boroffice maintained that as one of the committed leaders of the party in Ondo State, he is committed to the struggle of the party and will at all times promote good relationship and comradeship, conduct among its members and leaders.

There have been speculations that the Senator and the ACN candidate in last October gubernatorial election in Ondo, Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN), were at loggerheads over control of the state machinery of the party.
