Part of the investigation the Senate was willing to carry out is alledged certificate scandal against Senator Dino Melaye representing Kogi West Senatorial District.

Erstwhile Senate Leader, Senator Ali Ndume through Order 14 and 15 explained that the media has been awash over the weekend on the various allegations that seem to be dragging the integrity of the upper legislative chambers in the mud.

“Mr. President, Distinguished Colleagues, over the weekend, the Senate has been bashed with criticisms over SUV Range Rover bullet proof belonging to the Senate President, Bukola Saraki.”

“I wish to speak through Order 14 and 15 that these matters be investigated in line with our tradition,” he added.

Displaying copies of papers and photocopies of online publication including DAILY POST, Ndume added that damning allegations against principal officers have been investigated in the past, hence, there was need to investigate them.
