Senate President greets Sultan at 57

President of the Senate, Senator David Mark has sent a message of felicitation to the Sultan of Sokoto His Eminence Muhammadu Sa’adu Abubakar iii on his 57th birthday.

In the message on behalf of the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the Sultan, Senator Mark described him as a peace maker and stabilizer who is working tirelessly for the unity and progress of Nigeria.

Senator Mark noted that the 20th Sultan of Sokoto’s reign has witnessed peace and progress especially in the Caliphate.

He therefore urged him not to rest on his oars in the crusade for peace and unity in the entire country adding ” his eminence the sultan of Sokoto is an epitome of humility and peace. We are proud of his untiring efforts towards unity and peaceful coexistence in Nigeria.

” We can only urge you not to be deterred but to remain focussed and courageous in task of leading the people.” Senator Mark wished the Sultan good health, abundant wisdom and peace in the years ahead .
