Segun Oni’s associate shot dead in Ekiti during Man Utd vs Leicester game

Bunmi Ojo, an ally of Segun Oni, former governorship aspirant on the platform the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti state, has been shot dead, The Cable reports.

Oni was the runner-up in the primary won by Kayode Fayemi, governor-elect of the state.

Ojo was reportedly shot dead in Ado-Ekiti, capital of the state, around 8:30pm on Friday.

The unknown gunmen trailed him to a viewing centre along Adebayo road, where the Premier League match between Manchester United and Leicester City was showing.

Immediately they identified him, they opened fire on him, before speeding off.

Ojo served as personal assistant to Oni, when he was governor of the state between 2007 and 2010.
