Segun Okeowo to be buried February 28

Burial arrangements for the late student unionist, Akogun Olusegun Eniolorunda Okeowo has been released by the family.

The funeral arrangement as released by his son, Segun-okeowo Kolade and obtained by DailyPost shows that the late Okeowo who died on Friday, January 28 would be interred on February 28, 2014 in his Aluta Compound, Badoore Junction, Simawa, Makun Sagamu.

Below is burial arrangement as released by Okeowo’s family:

Day One: Wednesday, February 26, 2014

8.00am: Body leaves in a Motorcade from Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OSUTH) Sagamu accompanied by NANS National officials.

9.00am: Lying in State at His Residence; 21A Surulere Street, Makun, Sagamu.

11.00am: Lying in State at his country home, ALUTA COMPOUND, Badoore Junction, Simawa, Makun Sagamu.

12 Noon: Funeral orations, citations and presentations by NANS, NUT, TESCOM, ANCOPPSS, NLC, schools and other relevant groups/agencies.

5.00pm: Service of Songs by Christian Association Nigeria, CAN.

Day Two: Thursday February 27, 2014

8.00am: Lying in state continues at his country home, ALUTA COMPOUND, Badoore Junction, Simawa, Makun Sagamu.

12 Noon: Funeral orations, citations and presentations continues

5.00pm: Christian wake keep by St. Mathews’ Anglican Church of the Anglican Communion, Simawa.

Day Three: Friday February 28, 2014

10.00am: Funeral Service St. Mathews’ Anglican Church of the Anglican Communion, Simawa.

Interment at his Country Home; ALUTA COMPOUND, Badoore Junction, Simawa, Makun Sagamu.

Reception follows immediately at the Simawa High school playing grounds.
