Security agents carrying out mass burial of our members – IPOB

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has raised the alarm over alleged mass burial of pro-Biafra activists killed during the remembrance of Biafra heroes and heroines on Monday 30th May 2016.

In a statement issued on Friday by Comrade Emma Powerful, the media officer of IPOB, he said “we discovered that the Nigeria Army and the Police decided to kill those they arrested alive and bury them with the dead bodies they carried on the same day.

“As IPOB families and Biafrans mourn our dead brethren with big hearts, the Nigeria government and security agents are busy perfecting strategy to kill unarmed civilians they arrested during the events and bury all with the dead Biafrans in a mass grave within the Anambra State.

“More so, those arrested and taken to the Army Barracks by the Army, Navy, and police were being tortured to death without charging them to court and the Anambra State governor, Chief Willie Obiano went to the Army Barracks and saw his brothers’ and sisters’ dead bodies, who were killed during the remembrance day and also allowed those alive to be tortured to death. “The IPOB worries why Chief Willie Obiano, the governor of Anambra state and the chief security officer of the state became a stooge to the terrorist group; during the period the terrorist group dropped their bombs at the Carra market, along Atani Road, the victims of the incident were taken to the hospital; Governor Obiano went to the hospital and paid for their bills without minding that they are masterminders of the bombs explosion.”

He further stated that “Governor Willie Obiano described the initiators of the remembrance day for the Biafra fallen heroes and heroines who lost their lives because of our freedom during the genocidal war against the Biafran people in 1967 to 1970 as hoodlums, who did not come and take permission to remember their dead one’s in his state.

“With this, he ordered the security agents to kill and maim unarmed civilians who were not with any weapon or any sharp objects; the evil that man do lives with them.”
