Scores feared dead as political thugs attack kwankwaso’s convoy in Kano

The Kano State Police Command said many persons lost their lives in a clash that ensued between the supporters of former governor of Kano State Rabiu Kwankwaso, and persons believed to be loyalists to a member representing Kiru/Bebeji Constituency, Abdulmumin Jibrin.

The Command Public Relation Officer, Abdullahi Haruna, who confirmed the incident, said police were yet to ascertain the number of victims in the bloody clash.

Eyewitness said the incident happened when supporters of member representing Kiru/Bebeji Constituency, Abdulmumin Jibrin, allegedly blocked the access road, in an attempt to deny Kwankwaso’s convoy road for his campaign at Kofa village in Bebeji local government, thus resulting in bloody clash.

Many people feared died from both parties, others sustained various degrees of injuries, while at least, 10 vehicles have been burnt to ashes during the clash.

He said that the police had succeeded in bringing the situation under control.
