The Federal School of Surveying, Oyo, Oyo State, said that it has proscribed all student’s Union activities within the institution.
The institution in a circular signed by its Registrar, Mr. I. A. Adesokan, said it has banned all students’ union activities within the campus with immediate effect due to the unruly behaviors of some of the union leaders.
The institution, while frowning at what it termed as unruly behavior of some members of the union, however, insisted that it will no more tolerate any acts of indiscipline among the students.
Adesokan in the circular dated April 11 entitled, “Proscription of SUG activities”, a copy which was obtained by DAILY POST on Thursday, insisted that the institution condemned the unruly behaviors of the Speaker and other SRC members in the institution.
He, however, noted that the institution has proscribed the union activities in the institution based on the above-mentioned reasons.
Adesokan said, “The management noted with dismay the unruly behaviors of the Speaker and the SRC members during the congress.
“The management frowns at their unruly behavior which can not be tolerated henceforth.
“Consequence upon the above, this is to inform the students that the management has directed that the Student’s Union activities are hereby proscribed with immediate effect.”
