Cool FM’s On-Air Personality, OAP, born Ifedapo Oyerinde, popularly known as Freeze, has waded again into the alleged fraudulent fund raising campaign for Ovarian cancer patient, Mayowa Ahmed.

The fundraising which had in the past weeks generated controversy when it was adjudged as a scam by Mayowa’s family, with actress Toyin Aimakhu right in the thick of things had personas like freeze constantly talking about it.

Recall that Freeze sometime in July, shared his concern about the #SaveMayowa campaign being a scam.

He wrote: “It is heart wrenching for me, if Nigerians from all walks of life donated their hard earned money during this ‘change’ regime, and the person who the money was meant for, still continues to suffer.

“It’s not enough to put a bottle of milk in front of a six month old baby and say “I have provided food” we need to make sure the baby is fed the milk.

“Same thing applies to Mayowa’s case, How do we ensure that visas are procured, flights are booked, hospital bills are paid, drugs are purchased and treatment begins?”

The OAP has again raised an eyebrow, claiming he has the right to know if the ailing patient has started receiving treatments which funds was raised for.

“The public was asked to help Mayowa raise $100,000 about N32 million for treatment at Emory international hospital Atlanta, and so far over N122 million which is four times the amount requested was raised, and as of today 8th of August 2016, Mayowa is allegedly still in Lagos.

“What is holding Mayowa from going to the US? Almost 2 weeks after the money was raised.

“Why has this story been swept under the carpet? The public raised these funds and the public wants to know if she is being taken care of.

“All I want is treatment for this lovely woman who cried her heart out to Nigerians, asking for assistance.

“I believe that it is my right to know if she is receiving that treatment,” Freeze added.
