Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki on Sunday visited the home of the assaulted female Sergeant-at-Arms, Mrs Sandra Davou, who fought gallantly with thugs that invaded the hallowed chamber of the Senate on Wednesday.
Reports had it that the female officer challenged the hoodlums when they were about taking way the symbol of authority, The Mace.
DAILY POST recalls that during the senate plenary on Wednesday, the suspended Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege representing Delta central stormed the National Assembly and entered inside the hallowed chamber.
The moment he was seen via a video clip in the chamber coincidentally aligned with the same time some group of thugs invaded the chamber.
However, when he was informed of the situation, the senate president quickly lauded the efforts of fellow senators in the maintenance and defendant of democracy and vowed to that proprietor’s of this heinous crime must face justice.
Saraki on Sunday paid a courtesy visit to the sergeant-at-arms and said via his Facebook page, “I am now at the home of Mrs. Sandra Davou, the brave female Sergeant-at-Arms Officer who was assaulted and injured in Wednesday’s invasion of the Senate Chambers”.
