Saraki reacts to death of Ohanaeze ex-president, Ikedife

President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, on Friday, expressed sadness over the death of the former president-general of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Dr. Dozie Ikedife.

Saraki, in a statement by his Special Adviser (Media and Publicity), Yusuph Olaniyonu, in Abuja, described the deceased as a “colossus in the field of medicine, who used his expertise to the benefit of his people, in particular, and the country in general.”

He noted that the late Ikedife contributed immensely to the development of medical practice in the country.

Saraki saluted him for being a blessing to his community, state, country and the world in general both as a surgeon and an administrator.

The President of the Senate also commiserated with the immediate family of the deceased, Ohanaeze Ndigbo and the people and Government of Anambra State over the loss. He urged them to take solace in the fact that the late Ikedife lived a worthy life.

He prayed God to grant the departed soul eternal bliss, and his loved ones the fortitude to bear the loss.
