“Sandra and I are friends but we have not spoken about marriage” – Mikel Obi denie

Chelsea and Super Eagles midfielder, John Mikel Obi, has emphatically denied stories that went around on Monday, that is set to marry beautiful model, Sandra Okugbue.

Obi, who featured for the Nigerian national team on Saturday against Kenya, however confirmed that he was friends with her, but there were no wedding plans for now.

He told KickOffNigeria: “I don’t understand where this is coming from.

“I know her. We’re friends, but we haven’t spoken in a long time and definitely not about marriage.”

The rumours said that the traditional marriage would take place in Onitsha, but Obi dismissed it and said “There’s nothing like that.”

Obi has flown back to his base, after he attended a reception organised by Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State, in honour of the African champions.
