The Bayelsa Government has said that the renovation of the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenogoa, will be completed very soon.
Speaking in a statement, the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Jonathan Obuebite, said the stadium will soon be ready for sporting activities.
He also commended the state governor, Seriake Dickson, for approving release of funds for contractors to return to the site and complete work.
Obuebite said: “The football pitch will be ready very soon to enable Bayelsa United Football Club of Yenagoa to return to their fortress at the Samson Siasia Stadium.
“Governor Seriake Dickson has graciously approved and ordered the immediate release of funds for the completion of the Samson Siasia Stadium which is 100 per cent natural infill Geo-technology lead-free synthetic grass pitch and full IAAF-approved athletics track.”
