Sambo bids outgoing Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Nigeria farewell


Vice President Namadi Sambo on Friday described the outgoing Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Nigeria, His Excellency Khaled O.Y. Abdrubuh as an exemplary diplomat and a great individual.

He made this remark when he received the Ambassador in company of his subordinate, Abdul Muhaimin Usman Badi in his residence at Aguda House.

Abdrubuh was at the villa to pay Nigeria’s number two citizen a farewell visit.

Sambo credited the Ambassador as the one who has ensured the prosperity of the economic relationship between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia. He congratulated Abdrubuh for a successful tenure, while urging him to strengthen the foundation he has established for the success of the economic relations between both countries.

He prayed for the strength and the good health of the Ambassador to continue to execute his duties diligently in future endeavours.

Earlier, the Ambassador stated that Nigeria and Saudi Arabia had over 40 years of good relationship, adding that his tenure helped to open new windows of investment opportunities and increased business relations.

He noted that with the level of investment potentials of both nations, it was time to consolidate on the already solid partnership.

He thanked President Goodluck Jonathan, the Vice President and Ministers especially those of Foreign Affairs with whom he said they “have had a good working relations.”

Present at the meeting were the Minister of State foreign Affairs, Dr. Nurudden Mohammed, the deputy Chief of Staff to the Vice President and other top government functionaries.
