Interim coach of the Super Eagles, Salisu Yusuf, has submitted his application to become the new permanent handler of the team.

The technical committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), had since announced that interested coaches should apply for the job.

Yusuf, who has coached Kano Pillars and Enyimba, was also assistant to Stephen Keshi, Sunday Oliseh and Samson Siasia in the past one year.

The 54-year-old has already made it clear that he will no longer act as an assistant to any coach and wants the head coach role.

This week, he was appointed to lead a Nigeria league All Stars selected team, to a series of friendlies against La Liga sides Valencia and Malaga next month.
