Gbolahan Salami has expressed his desire to finish the Nigeria Professional Football League this season, as the leading marksman.
The Warri Wolves striker scored twice, as his team hammered Ifeanyi Ubah 3-0 on Wednesday.
His brace took his tally for the season to nine, two behind Tunde Adeniji and Bright Ejike who currently top the scorers’ chart with 11 goals.
“It will be great to become the highest goalscorer in the league this season and I believe I’m ready for the fight,” Salami told completesportsnigeria.com.
“My objective is to help my club do well this season by scoring more goals than I did last season.
“To achieve that, I must continue working hard and score on a more consistent basis”.
