Liverpool ace, Mohamed Salah has admitted that he does not feel comfortable to be compared with Barcelona’s Lionel Messi and Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Egyptian international, however, said he needs to maintain his current level of form for a number of years to be compared with Messi and Ronaldo.
“I don’t want to say I am happy with this kind of comparison,”Salah told Egyptian TV station ONE.
“Each of them has been at the top level for 10 or 11 years. Their performance level is stable.
“I need to maintain my performance levels high for many seasons. I hope I can do that.
“They are great players and hopefully I become happy with these comparisons.”
Meanwhile, Salah was crowned the Reds’ Player of the Season at a glittering awards ceremony on Thursday evening.
The 25-year-old also picked up both the First Team Players’ Player of the Season and the Standard Chartered Player of the Season award.
The forward has already scored 43 goals in all competitions for the Reds this season.
The former Roma star is a potential contender for this year’s Ballon d’Or and also competing with Barcelona’s Lionel Messi for the European Golden Shoe.
Salah has sent warning to Real Madrid ahead of the Champions League final slated for May 26 in Kiev.
