Sen. Kabiru Marafa (APC-Zamfara), walked out of the chamber over composition of standing committees of the Senate in Abuja on Tuesday.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Marafa interrupted plenary session during debate on adoption of 8th Senate Legislative Agenda.
According to Marafa, it is illegal for Senate President, Bukola Saraki, to proceed with the matter when the issue of composition of Senate committees had not been resolved.
Saraki ruled him out of order, on the grounds that Senate had adopted the Votes and Proceedings of the previous day.
Irked by the ruling, Marafa walked out of the chamber.
It would be recalled that Court of Appeal sitting in Yola on Tuesday upheld a tribunal’s ruling, sacking Bashir Marafa and ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission to issue Certificate of Return to All Progressives Congress candidate, Yusuf Abubakar.
